The drinks were pretty decent and the staff gave good recommendations to my friend. It's a nice place and we also had this waffle croissant thing, which was amazing. This is a good place for sweets

Another hot spring day, and got 2 drinks as soon as they opened at 11 am on a Saturday. First and only customer there. Staff is super friendly. Ambiance is just bright and clean as I remembered. Drinks came fast. Staff was extremely patience with me as I adjust the drinks for my spouse to cut his sugar intake (plus his dairy allergy). It's always good to get a cold drink in a super hot day! We will return if we are in the area, though spouse beg me not to cut his sugar...

My rating is really for the drinks. Although the first time I came, the guy was friendly when my husband had asked what drink is better. When I asked, the guy really just pointed out what was the "top" drinks for them. Anyways, we had tried... 1. Royal Milk Tea 2. Lychee Smoothie 3. Orange Peach Oolong My husband said he loved the Royal Milk Tea and would return just for this MT (he's pretty picky with his MTs). As for me, I enjoy trying different things. The Lychee Yogurt Smoothie was very refreshing and I loved it! The fact that it contains the actual lychee chunks - it was a plus for me. As for the Orange Peach Oolong, I think I would like it more without the foam on top as it made the drink more into a milk tea style after my daughter shook it up and mixed it.. it had a good peach flavor with orange pieces on the bottom.

Came on a Friday noon after getting Chipotle for lunch. There's plenty of parking spaces but the lot can fill up quick. Additionally, this boba store's doorfront can be easily missed - I walked by it and went straight into the Asian market next door LOL, before looping back around. Ordered an Assam milk tea with boba. It came out pretty good. While checking out, I also saw their cans of milk tea (interesting packaging, thought it was decor or even an energy drink / beer haha). I believe it was the owner helping me check out, to which she said the milk tea is really good, so I bought a can. They also have some pastries. I've always been looking for canned milk tea to bring on the road with me. Haven't tried this one yet but hoping it's good. I did like their boba so I see myself coming back.

I'm a fan! I visited the Alley in SoCal and remember not being too impressed, but I've actually really enjoyed the drinks from this location. I regularly order the Ube Brown Sugar Deerioca Crème Brulee Milk. I love the ube flavor and the texture of the crème brulee. The whole combination with boba is very yummy to me! I prefer it over the regular Brown Sugar Deerioca Crème Brulee Milk. I also most recently tried the Assam Black Milk tea and really enjoyed it! I love the Assam milk tea from 7Leaves in the Bay Area, so this is a nice, close substitution for any of those cravings. The service here is pretty normal & fast. The seating is also normally mostly taken up, but I haven't spent too long here. Will definitely be back to try new drinks!

The Alley is a franchise, but I haven't been to any of their other locations. I'm glad to now have one so close to home! I tried the Lychee Yogurt Lulu. I'd describe it as a yogurt slushy. Even though I adjusted the sweetness to 25%, it was still pretty sweet. You could taste the yogurt and a slight bit of tartness. This drink has bits of lychee on the bottom. I haven't tried a drink like this previously, so it was a change from what I'm used to trying. It personally isn't my favorite drink, but it was still good! Since I wanted to compare their milk tea and boba to other places, I decided to come back another day and also try the Jasmine Green Milk Tea (large, light ice, and no sugar) with brown sugar boba. The drink itself was fine. I read they make their own boba, so I was hoping it would be good and it was. The boba was warm when they added it to the drink and very chewy. I've also tried the Original Purple Rice Yogurt. This drink is what made me really appreciate The Alley. They seem to have better quality drinks; this drink seemed healthier and more refreshing than typical drinks found at most boba locations. The purple rice gave the drink a good texture and there was jelly too! It's a blended, sweet yogurt drink. Even at 25% sweetness, it was sweet enough for me. Even though boba places are abundant in Elk Grove, this would definitely now be one my top places to go for boba/drinks!
